The 2014 Salmonella Scare
•In 2014 the EFOOD corporation faced a new crisis amongst its consumer base; customers were consistently retracting salmonella from undercooked chicken being delivered by us. We are shamed to admit that we attempted to cut costs by changing our poultry supplier, and we paid the consequences. In an effort to compensate for our outrageous mistake, not only did we refund everyone who purchased chicken from us after we changed suppliers, but we also covered the health costs for those who were directly effected by the salmonella outbreak.
•We are now proud to admit that we source locally from the reputable EFOOD-Catskills farm where all products are double checked by our cooks and Quality Control Team to ensure all consumers are eating top quality and safe food. All cooked meats and poultry are flash-boiled in our computer controlled boiler, supervised by our top chefs, to ensure that all natural harmful bacterias are gone before packaging.
